Its still National Hot Dog Month and today is National Chili Dog Day! A day to celebrate one of America’s favourite foods, Chili Dog Day is dedicated to the humble chilli con carne hot dog. Everyone knows that Casey's Corner in the Magic Kingdom is the place to go for a Chilli Dog, but they can be found all over. You can find an awesome chilli dog in ESPN club at Disney's Boardwalk and I hear that Award Wieners in Disneyland has a good one too.
Cheesecake Day is one of the creamiest days of the year. It’s a day to indulge in the decadence of this dessert, and sample some of the tastiest flavors. It's yet another treat that can be found at multiple locations around Disney's parks and resorts, but one special cheesecake that stands out from the rest is Tie Dye Cheesecake found at Disney World’s Pop Century Resort. This unique dessert has been a staple since the resort’s opening in 2003. From the humble plain baked to the tangy key lime or maybe a chocolate one would hit the spot. Whatever grabs your sweet.
Its the favorite Italian dish of millions of Americans. We all would eat it more often, but this culinary work of art, made with loving hands, takes time to make and bake. If your anywhere near Downtown Disney you must check out the Layers of Earth Lasagna at T-Rex. Its made with fresh pasta and layered with homemade tomato and meat sauce, ricotta, mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. We maybe celebrating Garfield’s favorite food, but its the Mouse who knows how to do it right!
Milk Chocolate Day celebrates everything that’s good about milk chocolate – one of the most common forms of chocolate in snacks, bars and drinks! You can get in so many variations in all of Disney's parks and resorts. You can find a great selection at the Main Street Confectionery.
According to the Congressional Resolution, Parents’ Day is established for "recognizing, uplifting, and supporting the role of parents in the rearing of children." We take our kids to Disney for all kids of celebrations, so why not add one more to the list, and this one is all about the grown ups. Parental figures in the United States receive the recognition for the role they play in their children’s lives on Parents’ Day. The day aims to promote responsible parenting and to recognize positive parental role models, and again what better way to let the kids show their appreciation then by having them spend the day with us in Disney. All Or Nothing Day takes that Carpe Diem spirit and urges people to break through their barriers and ignore the fears that hold them back. Whether it’s sneaking a day off to go to a Disney Park, or just riding that ride you have always been afraid of, everyone has something they would love to do if only they weren’t so scared. All Or Nothing Day is the day for dropping on the Tower of Terror, making it a stretch on the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster and confronting those fears. As it says, by breaking the deadlock you may end up with all or nothing, but at least the barrier is broken. You succeed or fail, but are no longer paralysed by indecision. Seize the day; the rest of your life won’t wait forever.
National Tequila Day is a day where we as a people can all come together and celebrate all that is Tequila. So if you're near La Cava del Tequila located in the Mexico Pavilion at Epcot stop on by and taste “the essence of Mexico”. From Margaritas to shots of Patron you'll find they have over 200 tequilas, top-shelf cocktails, Mexican beer and wine. Take off with a tequila flight or a wild passion fruit margarita to celebrate the day.
Tequila is a distilled beverage which is made from the blue agave plant. It is made primarily in the area surrounding the city of Tequila, 40 miles Northwest of Guadalajara and in the highlands (Los Altos) of the western Mexican state of Jalisco. Some accounts report americans consume nearly 200,000 margaritas per hour. Every dog gets its day and today is reserved for the Hot Dog. National Hot Dog Day celebrates one of America's favorite summer sandwiches. If you are looking for a good one in the parks, Magic Kingdom's Casey’s Corner is synonymous with hot dogs so stop on by and try one out. In addition to the classic Hot Dog you can also get a Chili-Cheese Dog, a Polish Sausage and a Barbecue Slaw Dog Topped with Pulled Pork, Coleslaw, and Barbecue Sauce. |
